Hypercom L5350 cordless payment terminal and charging baseHypercom’s L5350 is a unique, cordless payment terminal that includes a rechargeable battery and charging base station and supports either BlueTooth or WiFi wireless communications. The L5350 is well suited for environments where it is desirable to bring the payment processing to the consumer, such as jewelry or cosmetic counters.

 

A BlueTooth enabled L5350 terminal combined with a Hypercom BlueTooth Access Point provides a solution for interfacing directly with POS terminals via wired RS232, PUSB and RS485 Tailgate interfaces incorporated into another BlueTooth Access Point. Alternatively, the L5350 can communicate directly to a BlueTooth enabled POS terminal or through existing in-store WiFi networks.

 

The L5350 is equipped with a 400 MHz, 32-bit processor for fast transactions, and it includes a large capacity memory of 128MB (256MB optional) and a MicroSD memory expansion slot. The L5350 has an 18-bit (256K) color, full VGA (640 x 480 resolution), large LCD display, integrated capacitive glass touch screen, audio and video capabilities, and electronic signature capture. These features allow the L5350 to easily support interactive marketing programs and in-line advertising campaigns.

 

Hypercom’s commitment to security does not stop with the meeting of payment security compliance requirements. The L5350 comes standard with an encrypting magnetic stripe reader (MSR), ensuring the card data is automatically encrypted as cards are swiped, thus protecting sensitive card information during the transaction process. Each device has a full X509 public key infrastructure, allowing retailers to protect their applications from hacking and preventing all malware attacks.
